Yeah... Yeah...we know its the obvious photos, but hey we know you dont wanna die without seeing Australia for real!

We know that to do justice and show you how exciting and beautiful Australia is, we would never finish this site. There is just so much to see and do. So we spoke to our friends at Tourism Australia and they said they would allow us to link to their fantastic website. Its taken them years to perfect and we could never show you Australia the way they can.

Anyway we include a few facts about the Lucky Country here and then invite you to whet your appetite for your adventure ahead by clicking through below. Australia is the sixth largest country in the world. It's about the same size as the 48 mainland states of the USA and 50 per cent larger than Europe, but has the lowest population density in the world -only two people per square kilometre.The kangaroo is unique to Australia and one of our most easily recognised mammals. There are more kangaroos in Australia now than when Australia was first settled. Estimates suggest around 40 million. If the universe ever needs a backpackers’ heaven, Australia is well qualified for the title. In the eyes of young independent travellers (and a lot of other people as well), the country has a lot in its favour. A visit to Australia need not break the bank. In addition to bargain accommodation options, a favourable exchange rate and good value package tours, many of the country’s attractions are free or can be enjoyed at minimal cost. If you want to get away from it all – really get away– Australia is your sort of place.

Many of the country’s lesser-known natural wonders are well off the beaten track, yet just as amazing as the better-known ones. Working means you’ll meet more of the locals,have fun with fellow travellers, and get to see parts of Australia that you might not normally visit. From mustering on an Outback cattle station to crewing a yacht down the Queensland coast, the possibilities are endless. Swim among the largest sharks in existence.

Sail the challenging seas off Tasmania’s rugged coast. Abseil down a cliff and descend into awesome rainforest. If you are after adventure, your choices are limitless.
Visit Far North Queensland and experience the wonders of the Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef.The only place where 2 World Heritage listed sites meet. Get lost in The Red Centre or ride a camel in the outback-There are estimated to be over 1 million Camels roaming wild in the outback

Australia’s seemingly endless series of beaches curve to the horizon through many different climatic zones. Australia boasts over 7,000 beaches - more than any other nation Some beaches are busy and popular – others so remote that nobody visits them for weeks on end. Clubs, pubs, music and dancing – or just sharing a bottle of wine or two with some mates on the beach. When it comes to Aussie nightlife, the variety is impressive.

Tropical North Queensland

Sydney,with a population of almost 4 million, and covering almost 1120 square kilometres (700 square miles), is a remarkably easy city to move around in. An excellent train, bus and ferry service covers all points of the greater metropolitan area.If you've only got a week or a few days in Sydney, your time would be best spent by taking a walk around the CBD.Looking for a cool beer(and its better here than anywhere on the planet)and a bit of History you must visit The Rocks. To see the Harbour- save money by using the ferry services from Circular Quay (instead of the guided tour-its the same water isn't it?).The Manly Ferry takes you out on the water and is the perfect place to head for the beach(ahh this is the life). Sydney on a warm day, with a clear blue sky, there is no better place on earth

Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival has become Australia’s biggest public celebration of any sort, gay or straight.Held every March.The festive parade is followed by the world’s biggest gay party: 24,000 people dancing in 3 giant halls. TV and radio crews come from some 16 countries to cover the parade. Most of Australia's leading politicians endorse the festival, while a few cement their support among right-wing constituencies by attacking it.
