To open a Bank Account in Canada you need to apply in person to the bank of your choice.Make sure you bring two pieces of current identification with you when you come to see us eg:

Foreign passport

Credit Card issued by a known retailer

You will also be required to provide your current address, date of birth, and occupation.

If you want to open a joint account with someone who is not a current client, they should come to the branch with you. They should fill out an account application and bring two pieces of current identification with them to the branch.
