For Example the Requirements from the UK (where 10,000 NZ Working Holiday scheme Visas are issued every year) are as follows:
Be a British Citizen living in the United Kingdom when you apply.
Apply to the New Zealand Immigration Service Branch in London
Satisfy us your main reason for coming to New Zealand is to holiday, not work.
Be at least 18 and not more than 30 years old.
Not bring children with you.
Have a British passport that's valid for at least three months after your planned departure from New Zealand
Hold return or onward tickets, or sufficient funds to purchase an outward ticket
Have a minimum of NZ$4,200 available funds to meet your living costs while you're here.
NOTE
You don't need a working holiday scheme Work Visa or Permit if you're:
A New Zealand citizen or you hold a New Zealand Residence Permit An Australian citizen, or Australian resident who holds a current Australian Resident Return Visa.
