“SE TO CONCERT TO GO FURTHER! ” -- ONE BIG HIT

On November 10th and 11th 2003 in Montreal the Forum was held on the employers'-trade-union co-operation. Organized by, with the assistance the Commission Ministry of Labor of the health and the industrial safety and the participation of the ministry for Economic development and regional, the Forum was addressed to the people evolving/moving in the employers' and trade-union mediums, with the personnel of the human resources like to people particularly interested in the relations between trade unions and owners.

Short speech of the minister

The Mr., Minister for Labor Michel , pronounced. At this occasion it highlighted the significant role played by the co-operation in the success of the employers'-trade-union relations: “Indeed, the main message that I would like to share with you today is the following: one of the great securities of the co-operation is to facilitate the continuous organisational amendment of our firms, in the search of the economic progress of Quebec. In this direction, successes of the co-operation in the firms have positive effects for the unit of Québécois society, and this, more especially as international competition will continue to intensify during the years to come. ”
In its speech, it developed its thought in this direction and finished its message by wishing with the participants and participating profitable and constructive exchanges and, by doing this, that they thus contribute their share to an approach of the business acquaintances always essential with the employment maintenance and that of the standard of living of all the Inhabitants of Quebec.

Unfolding

This service, obviously appreciated participants, was followed thereafter of a dramatization by a theater company on the set of themes of the Forum which was also strong appraisal of the room. Workshops relating especially to original experiments carried out in work environment followed. A presentation putting in prospect the services offered to the Ministry as regards co-operation also had its place in the program of the Forum. The revealing of the results of a survey relating to the topic even of the Forum preceded the keeping a roundtable. Let us recall finally that this roundtable was held in optics of a practice of the employers'-trade-union co-operation directed resolutely towards the future.

The deputy minister of Work, Mr. Jean-Paul , was invited to pronounce the final word.
